In The Dark is the creation of award winning arts entrepreneur Andrea Cockerton.

In 2010 Cockerton created the ground-breaking sound experience company, We Are Sound.

Three years later she co-founded Dosoco, a not-for-profit music foundation which runs alongside We Are Sound and receives a percentage of the We Are Sound’s profits to invest into people & projects using music & sound for social good.

Dosoco has gone on to give out over £20,000 out in grants. In The Dark will also be donating a proportion of its profits to Dosoco to continue its fantastic work.

In 2018 Cockerton was listed as one of NESTA and The Observer’s #50newradicals for her work using music for social good, and then in 2020 was listed as one of SheSaidSo’s Alternative Power 100 Music List.
